On February 10th, Stampin’ Up!’s Demonstrator Training Manager, Shannon West, posted to the Stampin’ Up! Blog her “Bringing Back Birthdays” story.  The short version is that Shannon realized the handmade, handwritten card was becoming extinct since social media was so convenient.

On her Facebook page, Shannon asked anyone who wanted to receive a birthday card to reach out to her.  The outcome was astounding (over 1,000 requests).  This led Shannon to carve out her own “#imbringingbirthdaysback” stamp which Stampin’ Up! produced.  The stamp was an immediate sell-out, and Stampin’ Up! just announced that the single wood mount stamp will be available again on March 21st… so get ready.  You can read Shannon’s entire story here.

Yesterday, Stampin’ Up! also announced the new WEEKLY DEALS.  There were just a few products I really wanted when the latest Annual Catalog was launched and the TIN OF CARDS Project Kit was at the top of my list.

I put together the three “Happy Birthday” cards from the TIN OF CARDS project kit in no time at all.  There are complete supplies for 16 cards.  The kit includes a beautiful tin with dividers to organize your finished cards so they’re ready to send with your personalized message.  There is also a matching “Tin of Cards” stamp set which coordinates perfectly with the Project Kit.

I really enjoy sending handwritten notes, and I do it often.  I also enjoy technology and most everything social media and the internet offers us, but there’s nothing like your hand to a pen to a card… it’s your time and sentiment that means the most.

So take advantage of this weeks WEEKLY DEALS and get yourself the TIN OF CARDS Project Kit.  You can get more details here, or click on the picture below.
