I wish you and yours a very Happy Easter!

Today’s post title refers to the Minnie Mouse I added as an embellishment to a Post-It Note Holder. The Post-It Note Holder is the center of attention in the little Easter Gift Basket, I created for my family. You can click here for my original post for the basket tutorial.

Minnie Mouse is punched from the Cutest Cows Punch. She has the same face as one of the cutest cows. The difference is her facial expression, her long eyelashes, upright ears, and a ribbon bow.

I punched one cute cow with Basic Black cardstock, and the second with Basic White cardstock. I cut off the cow’s ears and replaced them with a piece of the punched cow’s mouth area. After finding a picture of Mini Mouse on the internet, I drew her head on the black punched piece and fussy cut it. The black piece is adhered to the white piece and I glued the “ears” to the back of Mini’s head. I snapped a photo that might help you see what I did.

Mini’s face is hand drawn with a fine tip Sharpie marker.

I put the baskets together using both current and retired Designer Series Paper. The polka dot DSP in the photo above is part of the current Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP Pack. It’s on the Last Chance List and will be available until April 30th. The Cheerful Daisies Dies are not leaving, but after April 30th, they will no longer be bundled with the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set. I used one of the daisy dies for the Post-It Note Holder embellishment in the basket on the right in the photo above.

I used the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper for the basket below. This stunning paper pack is here to stay.

As you can see, I’ve been busy making Easter gifts. I don’t have the names of the Designer Series Paper I used below. I made the pink basket with Polished Pink cardstock, and the blue with Seaside Spray. (Both retired colors).

I die cut the tags using the Tailor Made Tags Dies. You can see the Tailor Made Tags Dies Details in the Product Details section of this post.

So, make a basket or two, add a Post It Note Holder, and chocolate of course, and create a pretty gift for someone special.
