Happy Friday!
Yesterday I posted a card for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge showcasing Tea For Two Designer Series Paper.
I'm sure you know by now that I am a "patterned paper junkie"…just can't get enough of it and I love creating with it. The Tea For Two Designer Series Paper is just so pretty. The softness of the So Saffron and Pretty In Pink are accented with the bolder Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Early Espresso.
The patterns feature hexagons, chevrons, news print, polka dots and a beautiful Vintage floral. This Designer Series Paper takes you from Clean and Simple Modern to aged and distressed Vintage. It'll go a long way. It's really a card making staple.
This card is a little Vintage mixed with the contemporary chevron in the large banner. I thought I would add a little distressed look with some Early Espresso ink and my Sponge Daubers. To give it a more relaxed feel, I added some linen thread to the top of the smaller banner and rounded the corners of the floral piece for a little more softness.
The "Kindness" sentiment is from the "From My Heart" stamp set and stamped with Early Espresso ink onto a cropped oval from the Oval Collections Framelits.
In my card designing, I tend to go more for the Clean and Simple style. This card was a little out of my comfort zone, not for the design, but for the inking and distressed look. I like the way it turned out, and will probably try more Vintage looks in future posts.
Happy stamping!
