Happy Monday Stampers!
Here's a Clean and Simple for you! Lots and lots of white space and very quiet indeed.
I created this card for The Paper Players Clean and Simple Challenge. Jaydee, a member of The Paper Players Design Team, wanted to challenge us with not only a Clean and Simple card, but a one layer card. Wow! It's been a while since I've created a real one layer card.
I decided to do a little masking with the Secret Garden stamp set. Pretty, pretty flowers, but they're not frilly and fluffy. To me, they're graphic and contemporary, and I wanted to keep them that way, hence no coloring at all. I just let the masking technique give the flowers depth and movement and take over the card design.
It's hard to see, but I stamped the flowers with Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant ink. The shades of purple are so regal and smart. The sentiment is from the Kindness Matters stamp set.
In person, this card is smashing! Let's hear it for the "One Layer"!!
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used: Cardstock – Whisper White. Stamp Sets – Secret Garden and Kindness Matters. Ink – Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.
Debbie your masking is perfection. I love the black on white and those beautifully placed flowers. The sentiment is in just the right place. You really helped to showcase that one layer cards do not have to be boring. So glad you joined the Paper Players and thank you for rocking my challenge
Jaydee
