Wow, it’s amazing!  There’s not much more I can say about Stampin’ Up!’s new Fine Art Floral Suite.  The Suite will be in the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog and it will be available to customers on January 5th.

When I first saw the new catalog and went through it to pick a few of my favorites, The Art Gallery Bundle was definitely on my initial wish list, but it wasn’t at the top. Now that I have it and have had a chance to use it,  I’m not sure what to talk about first; the stamp images, the dies or the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper.  They’re all fabulous!

The Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper is super stunning!  Stampin’ Up!  designers actually draw the designs from scratch.  Each flower in this paper  series was actually painted by one of their artists.  In today’s card, I used the reverse side of the floral pattern.  It’s a subtle painted pattern with white washed brush strokes painted randomly across the design.

The Art Gallery Stamp Set is a photopolymer two-step stamp set. The stamps in this stamp set are also hand drawn images.  The sentiments are clean, classy and there’s one for almost any occasion.  This is one of those stamp sets that I know you will use time and again.

The Floral Gallery Dies make it easy to crop the floral images by running them through your cutting machine.  The Floral Gallery Dies includes a large sentiment die which is great to have for those quick card making projects.  The Dies also include two tag dies with a postage stamp edge.  They’re sized perfectly for the various sentiments.

Here’s a technique for you:

Two-step stamping is simply stamping a base stamp then adding a detail stamp on top of the base stamp.  Here, I stamped the base stamp with Terracotta Tile ink and stamped the detail stamp directly on top with Poppy Parade ink.  My floral image looked great, but I took it a step further and did a “three-step” on this flower.  I used the small detail stamp in the stamp set and stamped the center of the flower with Merry Merlot ink.  That extra third step gave my flower a totally different look.  I stamped the leaves with Mellow Moss ink and added a little line of Light Old Olive with my Stampin’ Blend to each leaf.

I think I’m going to have to put this card on “my favorites” list.

There’s lots you can do with the Art Gallery Bundle.  Keep it in mind for the top of your wish list.  I know that those who have ordered from me this past year have either received their new catalogs or will receive them shortly and you’ll have a chance to see all the beautiful products in the new Fine Art Floral Suite.
