Hi! I hope you’re able to spend time in your craft space this weekend. I’ve been having some fun getting more acquainted with some of my new products.
A New Card Making Story
It’s been a while since I’ve done this, so I thought I would share my card making story for this card.
While looking at the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper, I found myself placing patterns together. It became obvious to showcase some of the paper. If you look closely, the patterns I chose are similar with the exception of color.
The next step was what to do with these patterns. I thought it would be fun to see what dies in the Notes of Nature Bundle would match up with the patterned paper. There were three, and I used one.

I was half way there. The patterned paper was decided, and I had a die cut element. The Pebbled Path and gold foil design is stunning, so I showcased more of it. It also gave a nice contrast to the Basic White card base. In the design world of “color balance”, it would be natural to bring the white from the bottom to the top of the card, so my patterned paper choices worked. Pebbled Path on the bottom and white on top.
Pebbled Path is a beautiful neutral. I stamped two of the images from the Notes Of Nature stamp set directly onto the white patterned paper layer. This gave me a starting point for my element cluster. I enjoy clustering elements, so after some placing and tucking, my focal point was done.

The Sentiment Layer
The “happy birthday” sentiment is perfect since I need two more birthday cards for the end of January. After a little digging, I found the perfect die for the sentiment. It’s in the Wonerful Thoughts Dies.

I hope you enjoyed my little card making story. From time to time, I’ve shared them in posts. It’s interesting for me to recap the evolution of a card or project. I’m sure you can relate. Think about how your last card or project came to life. I’m sure you’ll smile as you surprise yourself.
So, remember to always express your creativity, and …
… the only limitation is your imagination!
