Happy Thursday Friends!
I’m having some Halloween fun today with the Frightfully Cute Bundle and the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. The Bundle and Designer Series Paper are all you need for lots of Halloween cuteness!
Halloween was always a busy time at our home when my children were in grade school. I learned to sew at a very young age and kept it going through the years. As Halloween got closer, my sewing machine worked faster. I always enjoyed creating hand made costumes for them. Now I send them hand made cards.

Here’s the fun how to!
- I started with a Basic Black card base, added a Basic White layer.
- The black and white candy pattern Designer Series Paper is the top card layer.
- I used one of the Layering Circle Dies to die cut a Pumpkin Pie circle.
- The stamped witch image and sentiment are stamped directly onto the circle.
- I die cut the two black clouds from a piece of the Cute Halloween DSP and the label die from the Frightful Tags Dies.
- The three flying ghosts are fussy cut from the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper and popped up on Dimensionals.
- I stamped the inside of the card with a Happy Halloween sentiment and added a strip of the DSP.

So, pick up the Frightfully Cute Bundle, add more cuteness with the Cute Halloween DSP and create beautiful handmade Halloween greetings to send to your loved ones and friends.

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!
It’s Ann’s week at the Paper Players and she has a very cool Sketch Challenge for us. Sketch Challenges are always fun because they give you a lot of artistic license. You can do whatever you want, as long as you follow the sketch. You can turn the sketch upside down, on its side or just follow it as shown.

I thought I would give a new stamp set a little test drive. I used the Frightfully Cute stamp set from the upcoming Mini Catalog. This stamp set is absolutely “frightfully cute”. There are seven Halloween themed images and seven matching sentiments. The images and sentiments are perfect for cards and tags.

Here’s how I put this card together and followed today’s sketch:
- I cut a standard A-2 Pumpkin Pie card base 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″.
- The Basic Black layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″;
- The fun Polka Dot patterned paper is part of the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This layer is cut 4″ x 5 1/4″.
- In the center of the design, I added three horizontal strips of cardstock. Two are cut 3/4″ x 3 1/2″. The center strip is 3 1/8″ x 3/4″. I used Highland Heather, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
- The Pumpkin Pie sentiment layer is 4 1/8″ x 2 3/8″.
- The Basic White sentiment layer is 2 1/4″ x 4″.
- I used Highland Heather and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for my stamped images and sentiment.
- Just for fun, I added a few Matte Black Dots.

So, grab some fun patterned paper, add a few layers and a sentiment and create something incredibly cute to link up with us over at the Paper Players.

Here’s a quick, easy and so very adorable little treat box that took not more than 5 minutes to put together and decorate. Now that I think of it, I had a little trouble getting my baker’s twine to stand up straight. Maybe that little trimming took about a minute more. Thank goodness for my Paper Snips!
This little box holds two Hershey’s nuggets very comfortably.
The Little Treats Bundle includes the Little Treats Stamp Set and the Little Treat Boxes Dies.
The sentiments from the Little Treats Stamp Set are designed to embellish this little treat box, tags, cards and more. The stamp set has a little sentiment for just about any occasion. The Little Treat Box Dies make cropping the images from the stamp set easier than you could imagine. I cropped a few spiders and a scalloped circle to decorate my box. The spiders are delicately embossed to match the pattern in the “For You” sentiment.
Here’s a treat box decorated for the Christmas holiday from the Stampin’ Up! website. I love that little bell.

So, crop a Little Treat Box, decorate it for your favorite holiday, add a little chocolate and create a cute little gratitude gift.

Do you think this card is scary and spooky?
Actually, spiders and bats have their place in the whole scheme of evolution. Spiders continuously weave silk and their silk is known to have strength and elasticity. It’s somewhat sticky and this is how they catch their prey. Bats are considered wonders of evolution and are mammals who can fly.
Okay, enough about that. Let’s get to today’s project.
The stamped images are from the Festive Corners stamp set and the bats are die cuts from the Halloween Magic Dies. I used lots of layers on this card, including a colorful plaid from the Plaid Tidings DSP. The Whisper White top frame layer was cropped from the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies, and the inside sentiment and image on the envelope are from the Celebration Tidings stamp set.
There certainly is a lot going on here which I didn’t realize until now.
I bet you’re all curious to see what my workspace looks like after this one…. a messy space is a creative space, right?

I started layering until I was able to center the “SPOOKY” image to scale. Layers and frames always work well when you have a focal point image that needs a little more attention. I added the spider’s web (which I hand cropped) and the spider, then I started moving the bats around the frame until they helped draw attention to the SPOOKY image. My card needed just a little something more, so I glued on a few sequins. Bling is always good!
So that’s the story of creation for this card.
Below are the project dimensions:
- Basic Black standard A-2 card base scored and folded vertically;
- The first Whisper White layer is 4 1/8″ X 5 3/8″;
- The Plaid Tidings DSP layer is 4″ X 5 1/4″;
- The Basic Black frame layer is 2 7/8″ X 4 1/8″;
- The Whisper White frame layer is 2 3/4″ X 4″;
- I used the 2″ X 3 1/4″ Stitched Rectangle Frame to crop the center of the Whisper White frame layer.
- The Bumblebee layer inside the frame is 2 1/4″ X 3 3/4″. When placed behind the frame, there’s plenty of room to add your adhesive.
- I Stamped “SPOOKY” with my Stamparatus after I framed the Bumblebee layer.
Now, grab a spooky stamp set, add a few flying bats and a little bling and create something adorable!

Happy Sunday to all!
Here’s another card share post from Barbara Levitz. Barbara is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in my down line. She designed this card using the Hallows Night Bundle from the August December 2020 Mini Catalog.
I think spiders are supposed to be scary, but this one is too cute to be scary. If you look closely, Barbara added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the spider and he certainly glistens (it’s hard to see it in the picture). She also outlined the spider’s web with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and that web surely sparkles. (Both are on page 147 in the Annual Catalog).
The bit of Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper nicely compliments the Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight card stock. That sentiment font is simple, clean and elegant.
Here’s a glimpse of the Magic In This Night Product Suite:

So, grab your scary spider, cover it with shimmery crystal, hang it in a window, add a touch of plaid and create a Halloween hello!
