There's so much to be thankful for. While I was crafting this card, I was thinking of all I hold so dear and how much I have to be thankful for. When I finished, I decided this will be the card I send off for Thanksgiving.

The design lends itself to a beautiful inside personal message, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the Season of Thanks!

  • This card got started with one single maple leaf stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto Crumb Cake card stock. (Had to ink up my Magnificent Maple stamp today). The leaf was so pretty, I stamped another onto Very Vanilla card stock and fussy cut both.
  • Since I remembered the good design "rule of thirds", I added a cropped leaf from the Simply Created Tablescape Kit; now I had three leaves.
  • A little Crumb Cake Washi Tape from the Epic Day suite, and some Daffodil Delight from the Gingham Garden suite gave my large Tangerine Tango, rounded corner layer a little interest.
  • I stamped my "Thankful" sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink onto some Very Vanilla card stock and hand cropped the banner.
  • A little Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper strip across the center of my card helps to ground my layer, and the three Chocolate Chip circles (punched with my Owl Builder Punch), along with the stamped "for" in the bottom right corner, do a great balancing act.
  • Some Linen Thread and a handful of Stampin' Dimensionals were the finishing touches.

There's lots going on here, but this is a simple design and lots of fun.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
