I had a completely different post planned for today, but there’s something to say about being flexible.  See, I’m not stubborn at all!

I subscribe to my very talented stamping friend, Brian King’s blog. Today, Brian posted his card for the Global Design Project. At the same time, Mary Fish was having a little fun over at the Pals private Facebook Gallery. So, because of Brian and the GDP Design Team, I’m CASEing Connie Collins’ beautiful card for this week’s Challenge, and… my project features Washi Tape for the Pals’ Gallery.

GDP020Connie’s card is absolutely gorgeous… simple and sparkly.

CASE is an acronym for “Copy and Share Everything”.  You can either copy every design element of a card or use the project for inspiration.  I believe CASEing another artist’s work is a wonderful compliment, providing proper credit is always given.

I was inspired by Connie’s “love” theme and her use of the horizontal striped paper.  My focal point is centered along with Connie’s, but mine has a few more layers. My card is more “casual” than Connie’s, but we both embellished the patterned paper. I used a Thinlit die to crop my sentiment which was also inspired by Connie’s work.

This was a fun CASE. Thank you Connie and the GDP Design Team for the challenge.

So, grab your favorite patterned paper, snip and crop a few elements for a center focal point, and create something magical.
