Today’s post is a bit different from my past few posts. First, it’s a CAS card (Clean and Simple), and it’s Monochrome… one color.
- Once again, I went to my patterned paper for inspiration and decided on the Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand striped pattern from “Going Places” Designer Series Paper Stack.
- I had no idea what I was going to do with it, but I wanted to use this paper. I started looking through my stamp sets and the flower from “Butterfly Basics” caught my eye.
- The stamp set is photopolymer which I absolutely adore… so easy to see where you’re stamping and they stick to the blocks like magic. The detail in this particular stamp is gorgeous and it works well with the stripes in the patterned paper.
- I cropped a few layers, stamped the image along with the sentiment and wrapped a bit of Linen Thread around the second layer, tied a bow and with the help of a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, this card was complete in just a few minutes.
Although, I enjoy working with color, pattern and creating collage cards, creating a simple and quick monochrome card is fun, too!
