Happy Saturday!

Today’s card is all about pattern and color.  The layer of Granny Apple Green plaid DSP from the 2021-2022 Brights Collection was the inspiration for this card.  I love the plaid pattern.  It reminded me of lattice, so I decided to go with flowers.  The floral colors had to be bold and bright enough to complement the Granny Apple Green.  Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee were perfect.  The Basic White frame and flower created a good balance to bring all of the colors together.

The In Bloom Bundle was my first choice.  I love the pierced dies and thought they might work well with the lattice patterned paper so I “framed” the lattice with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and added my floral elements to the frame.

I popped my lattice frame and flowers onto an “Oh So Ombre” Designer Series Paper layer and attached it to a Granny Apple Green card base.  Arranging my flowers, frame and patterned paper was so much fun that I completely forgot about my sentiment.  My card was already assembled.  Now what?  I didn’t want to emboss.  I thought if I did, I would be pulling embossing powder from all of the stitching in the die cuts, maybe I could cover it someway.

My Stamparatus came to my rescue and I decided to go with White Craft ink.  It took a little while, but it worked.  Craft Ink is opaque and much thicker than the die based ink I normally use.  You have to stamp it lightly on your surface and allow it to dry well after each application.  Wow, that was a pretty good save.  What do you think?

I embellished the lattice layer with a few die cut mini flowers and resin dots.

So, pick out a few bold, bright colors, find a fun pattern, add a frame and a flower or two and create something fun!  Don’t forget the sentiment.

…the only limitation is your imagination!
