A New Slimline With Cheerful Basket

I haven’t posted a Slimline card in a while, and thought it would be fun to share this one today. I prefer to make a shorter version of a Slimline card. This is a Mini Slimline (as I call it), and very easy to complete. The envelopes for this size are very available. They’re a “Monarch” size envelope that measures 3 7/8″ x 7 1/2″. The card fits nicely into the envelope.

Today’s Card Pieces and Parts

I used the Cheerful Basket Bundle, which is on page 35 in the Annual Catalog.
Although this card has quite a few parts and pieces, it’s quick and easy to put together.
The Basic White card base is a 7″ square, scored at 3 1/2″.
Cut the patterned paper layer (from the Heart & Home DSP – It’s part of the Last Chance Sale.) 3 1/4″ x 6 3/4″.
Stamp the basket and apple cluster images with Basic Gray Ink and die cut them with the coordinating Full Basket Dies.
Once I stamped the basket, I used a Blender Pen to work some of the inked edges into the image. You can see the ink blended toward the center of the basket in the image above.
I used Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends to color the apples in the basket and shaded them lightly with a Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter.
Die cut the smaller apples and leaves with Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green card stock.
The “napkin” in the basket is die cut using the die in the Full Basket Dies and a piece of Parakeet Party plaid Designer Series Paper from the 2022-2024 In Color DSP pack.
I originally cut a Sweet Sorbet “napkin”, then used the Parakeet party DSP. I think the switch adds a bit more color “pop” to the card front.
The handle on the basket is die cut from Basic Gray cardstock.
Belos is the inside of the card. The little stamped butterfly is an image from the Cheerful Basket stamp set.
