Hey there!
Today’s post is a holiday card using a combination of the Framed Florets and Leaves of Holly Bundles. There was nothing that would stop me from cutting another one of those beautiful ovals. If you watch my video showcasing the Framed Florets Bundle, you’ll see how I recessed the sentiment oval down into the oval frame. You can see the video in my Video Gallery on the menu bar.
I did the same thing for today’s card using one of the oval dies in the Framed Florets Dies, and white Glimmer Paper. My picture doesn’t do it justice. The frame die cut with the Gllimmer Paper is stunning. I also cut one of the leaf sprays from the dies in the White Glimmer Paper because I liked the look so much. White Glimmer on white is so pretty!
I’ll give you the quick “how to” in the Pieces and Parts Section below.
Today’s Card Pieces and parts

I cut a Balmy Blue card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.
The Basic White card front layer is 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
The Designer Series Paper layer is 5 1/4″ x 4″.
I cut two ovals using the die: one with Thick Basic White cardstock and the other using White Glimmer Paper. I glued the Glimmer Paper oval on top of the Basic White cardstock oval. This gives me a thicker frame to recess the sentiment oval.
I stamped and die cut the holly leaves using he Leaves of Holly Bundle, and the Glimmer leaf spray using one of the dies in the Framed Flrets dies.
I stamped the holly berries with Sweek Sorbet and Polished Pink ink.
Balmy Blue and Evening Evergreen are warm “cool colors”, so I thought the warmer pinks would work well with them.

I stamped both sentiments with Evening Evergreen ink, and stamped the little accent on the inside of the card with Sweet Sorbet ink.
If I hadn’t seen these colors together in the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, I probably wouldn’t have put them together. This combination is warm and festive. It can definitely work for the holidays!

So, die cut a beautiful oval, take a look at your bundles, add a few elements, a sentiment and a gold swirl and create a pretty holiday card!
… the only limitation is your imagination!
