Today, I have an adorable Holiday Gift Card Holder for you along with a FREE step by step printable PDF. The directions are simple to follow and there are plenty of pictures included in the tutorial. Depending on the card stock and sentiment you choose, this project design can be easily duplicated for any occasion.
This simple gift card holder is made with a single A-2 card base. The actual gift card holder is made separately and attached to the front of the single card layer. I used the foiled ornament pattern from Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper to construct the gift card holder. It works nicely with the Pretty Peacock and Very Vanilla card base.
Inside the gift card holder, there’s a second Very Vanilla layer with a stamped ornament from the Ornamental Envelopes stamp set. Notice the little ornament stamp matches the ornament pattern on the DSP. I discovered that when I was searching for a something to decorate the message layer. The little ornament is stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. You can either stamp a sentiment on the inside layer of the card or add a personal holiday message.
I thought a pretty ribbon closure would add that little something to this project. The Diagonal Striped Mossy Meadow ribbon is stunning. It’s soft, easy to tie into a bow and has a beautiful sheen.
So, pull out some gleaming DSP, add some matching card stock, stamp your sentiment, add a soft ribbon and create something pretty for giving.
