Happy Sunday stampers, and welcome to this week’s Paper Players Challenge.  We’re playing Tic-Tac-Toe with Laurie’s board, and I hope you’ll join us.  I chose the middle horizontal row; red, embossing and sparkle for my card design.

Today, I’m showcasing the Art Gallery Bundle and Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper.  The stamped images and art gallery quality patterned paper images are perfectly matched and stunning!

I thought it would be fun to add a little Gilded Gold Leafing to my project.  This was a first for me.  The process is quick and easy.  I followed the prompts in the Mini Catalog and it worked beautifully.  Here’s how I did it.

  • With Real Red ink and the large floral base stamp, I stamped the image onto Basic White cardstock.
  • I stamped the flower detail stamp over the base stamp with VersaMark ink and applied Heat & Stick Powder to it.
  • I used my Heat Tool to activate the adhesive and gently sprinkled the Gilded Leafing onto the heated adhesive.
  • My Gold Gilded Leafing looked great!

The beautiful patterned paper I used for the top layer of my card is white-washed over Poppy Parade and I needed Real Red.  I sponged a bit of Real Red ink over most of the Poppy Parade areas, careful not to cover the white-washed look. That bit of ink sponging worked.  The patterned paper was a closer match to my Real Red layer.

I’m a new fan of the large word dies.  For this card, I die cut the word “just” three times and attached them together.  I heat embossed the “for you” sentiment directly onto the patterned paper, and added a few Gold Metallic Pearls to draw attention to it.

So, gather your favorite die, markers or stencils, create a fun project, and link up with us this week.
