Today’s post is a simple Saturday card that is quick and easy to complete.

Featuring the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper, this card has a playful, retro feel.  It’s a bold floral design with a subtle color palette.

The Purple Posy and Crushed Curry stripes and dots in the patterned paper were the inspiration for my color palette.  I added a Blushing Bride flower for a little interest.  The flowers and sentiment label were die cut with the Pierced Bloom Dies and the sentiment is from the In Bloom stamp set.  A few Purple Posy Resin Dots on the sentiment label help balance the color.

This was one of those projects that I wasn’t expecting.  I actually sat down to stamp with something totally different in mind.  This evolved from a piece of patterned paper.  I’m always amazed at how that happens and I’m sure most of you can share a similar story.

So, pull out some retro patterned paper, add a few die cut flowers and some resin dots and create something playful!

…the only limitation is your imagination!
