Hello friends!
Welcome to another Paper Players Challenge. This week, LeAnne is hosting our final challenge for 2021 with a festive Color Challenge.
When I saw our colors for this week’s challenge, I thought of a decorated Christmas tree. Naturally, the Christmas Tree Dies were my first choice. I was able to easily use the colors in the Challenge. The deep tones of Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce are a natural with Gold. I kept my design Clean and Simple because I really wanted this tree to have the attention.
About Today’s Card
I attached a Merry Merlot cardstock layer to a Very Vanilla card base. The tree, garland and star ornaments are all die cut with the Christmas Tree Dies, part of the Whimsical Trees Bundle. This Bundle is currently on Stampin’ Up!’s Last Chance List. My little tree pot is cut with one of the Dies from the Peaceful Plants Dies. Along with the Christmas Tree Dies, the these Dies will have a permanent home in my craft room. I’ve used them both time and again.
The sentiment is a stamp from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set – another favorite that will stay in my inventory. I thought this sentiment font worked perfectly with the simplicity of my card design.
So, link up with us over at the Paper Players and celebrate this festive Color Challenge with all of us. We always love to see your creations!
…the only limitation is your imagination!

Clean and gorgeous, Debbie! A beautiful tree with all of those gold stars, which you have so perfectly placed! You are so clever to have put your tree in a Merry Merlot Peaceful Plants pot! Like you, there are so many wonderful sets which are retiring, but will be remaining on my shelf! You are so talented and creative. I can’t begin to tell you what a pleasure it has been to design beside a fellow Pal this past year. Hugs and happy holidays!

I love this CAS design and it shows off the challenge colors brilliantly! I almost thought for a moment my trees die set was missing the little pot lol! Glad it’s not but now i”m wishing I had the Plants dies because that’s a great detail! I’ve loved designing with you this year and getting to know you! I hope our paths continue to cross out there in the stamping world! Maybe at an in-person SU event someday!? I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
