Stampin’ Up! just announced a new Clearance Rack Refresh. This is always exciting because there are usually up to 60% discounts on products. The caveat here is that you have to get on the website early. That’s when the discounted product inventory will be most readily available. This Clearance Refresh is only while supplies last.
The Refresh starts at Midnight tonight Mountain Time, which means 2:00 a.m. Eastern Time. I just checked the Clearance Rack and there are three items there. If you see three items, Stampin’ Up! has not added the new products but keep checking back.
You can click here or on the sale banner below to get over to the Clearance Rack.

And, there are still Last Chance products available. Click on the image below for details.

It’s Monday, and I decided to create a card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge. The Design Team came up with a fun, simple sketch, so I thought I would join in.

If you read my blog regularly, you know I enjoy creating from a sketch. I also tend to doodle my own sketches when I look at a stamp set.
Sketches work for me and are a great tool when I want to make a card and don’t know where to start. Today, I took a bit of artistic license with this sketch. I followed the general design, but added a little twist. That happens at times. As I’m moving through my card design, I think of something I want to try and go with it. Sometimes it works! I’m happy with the finished card.

In Good Taste Designer Series Paper was launched in last year’s Annual Catalog. It will be available again in the upcoming Annual Catalog on May 4th. So, I can say this is my first Sneak Peek for you! The patterns in this Designer Series Paper combine beautiful layers and rich textures. The colors are neutral and can be feminine or masculine. I used patterns today for a more masculine card.
I chose a simple sentiment from the Garden Wishes stamp set. The Tailored Tag Punch worked perfectly for the sentiment. Do you notice a little pattern repeat? I know you do. The diamond textured pattern in the Designer Series Paper closely matches the pattern of the punch! And, the Tailored Tag Punch is also in the new catty. Two Sneak Peeks!! I have another Sneak Peek for you tomorrow, so be sure to stop by.
Below are my card measurements:
- I cut a standard A-2 top-fold card base from Smoky Slate cardstock.
- I covered the front of the card with the Night of Navy textured diamond pattern Designer Series Paper.
- The center larger Night of Navy layer is 3 3/8″ x 5 1/2″.
- On top of the Night of Navy layer, I added a Smoky Slate cardstock layer at 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
- I hand cropped both Night of Navy flagged banners. They measure 2 5/8″ x 5/8″.
- The center Night of Navy and Basic White strip is 1/4″ x 3 3/8″.
- I added a patterned paper strip to the inside of the card.

So, find your richly textured patterned paper, add it to a card base with a few banners and a sentiment and create something masculine!
…the only limitation is your imagination!

Happy Sunday to all!
It’s the beginning of a new week so it’s time for another Paper Players challenge. This week, our talented LeAnne is giving us a Color Challenge. Misty Moonlight, Merry Merlot and Crumb Cake, plus a neutral. Wow! What a striking color combination it is.

There were so many ideas coming to mind for these colors, so I wasn’t sure in what direction this card was going to go. I had my Painted Poppies stamp set nearby, so I started playing with this poppy image, stamping random poppies on my top card layer. I decided to create a sticky note mask and use it to add some background ink splatter.

This is a clean and simple card. I stamped five poppies with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. An odd number is always better than an even number when adding images or embellishments. Three of anything usually works best but since I had a lot of white space, I went with five.
The Painted Poppies stamp set includes a filler stamp that you can use to “fill” the poppy image with color. Instead, I colored the poppies with Light Crumb Cake and Light Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends. I used the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter to create shading in the flowers. Without a doubt this Color Lifter is a “miracle” add-on to the Stampin’ Blends product line.
Next up is my Merry Merlot ink splatter. I used a splatter image from an older, retired stamp set called Gorgeous Grunge. This stamp set maintains a place of honor on my stamp shelf. I use it often. I’m sure you all have stamp sets like that! I masked my flowers and stamped the ink splatter over them. While I was doing it, I snapped a few pictures and created a quick tutorial. If you’re unfamiliar with the masking technique, click on the button below to take a look.

The sentiment, from the Art Gallery stamp set, is stamped with Merry Merlot ink.
So, grab your Misty Moonlight, Merry Merlot and Crumb Cake paper and ink, create something fun, and link up with us over at the Paper Players.

Happy Wednesday!
A few posts back, I featured the Boho Indigo Product Medley. Today’s post is about the Refill Kit. You can create beautiful cards with the products in the Refill Kit. It includes 48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper; 6 sheets of Very Vanilla 6″ x 6″ dry embossed paper, 6 sheets of die cuts and 40 paper flowers. The Refill Kit is discounted 40% and priced at $13.80.

I designed today’s card using everything from the refill kit except for the ribbon and sentiment stamp. What a beautiful set of note cards this Kit would make! Sets of Note Cards are one of my favorite gifts. I usually check on past blog posts and CASE myself. I include 5 cards with envelopes in my set and package them in one of our acetate card boxes (page 152 in the current Annual Catalog).
I always tie a matching ribbon around the box and add a matching tag. Tags are simple and quick to put together. A favorite of mine is the Delightful Tag Topper Punch (page 166 in the current Annual Catalog), or you can create your own tag.
Check in on tomorrow’s post. I’ll have a set of matching note cards, packaged and ready to showcase. And, I think there just might be a little surprise for you!
By the way, I got my product order from the new Annual Catalog yesterday afternoon. I’ll be planning and posting a few Sneak Peeks shortly. The new In Colors are amazing!
So, be sure to check back tomorrow, get your stamps, ink and paper together, and get ready to create a beautiful set of note cards.
