Happy Tuesday! It snowed again all day yesterday here in New Jersey, so I worked from home and spent some time in my stamping studio. I opened the shades and enjoyed the view. My dog, Buddy, doesn’t like snow or the cold, so he was a little nutty… always loyal, he stayed with me, went to his usual spot under the heat vent and eventually fell asleep. It was nice to have some much welcomed quiet time.
Today, I have a new “Stampin’ Story”…
- I planned a few posts for this week and knew I was using this DSP pattern from “Going Places” DSP Stack, along with gold foil stars in today’s post. How I was going to use it didn’t happen until I sat down. I knew Basic Black and Whisper White would create my card base and the DSP had to be noticed.
- So, I cropped a few stars with the “Stars Framelits” and started positioning them onto the DSP layer… that thin slice of Whisper White card stock is a scrap from trimming my Whisper White layer that got mixed up with one of the stars and literally dropped onto my project in almost the same spot it’s in. I liked it! So, I tucked it under the large star. It adds a little something, don’t you agree? It balances the white!
- That “Gold Foil Sheet” is gorgeous. It’s thick and handles framelits beautifully… a definite “must have”… along with sequins!
- That beautiful “wish” sentiment is from “Enjoy the Little Things” stamp set, another definite “must have”.
- Here’s the inside…
So, grab some eye-catching patterned paper, crop a few stars, drop in a paper scrap or two, and create something smashing!
Starting today, Stampin’ Up! has added four new Sale-A-Bration items… You can see them here, or
