Hello, I hope you have some time this weekend to spend in your craft space.
November is a few days away! Stampin’ Up! has a new early product release beginning Tuesday, November 1st. It’s called Framed Florets, and of course, it’s beautiful. When I look at a new product suite, there’s usually one item that catches my eye and sends my creative mojo into overdrive. I love everything about the Framed Florets Suite. The Designer Series Paper is beautiful. It mixes soft and deep tones of blues, greens and pinks. It’s floral, and the dies include amazing oval frames, from clean and simple to ornate and vintage.
There are two stamp sets in the Suite. The Framed & Festive stamp set has mixed font Holiday sentiments. The font is large and “festive”. The Framed Florets stamp set coordinated with the Dies. There are floral, leaf and floral spray images, along with sentiments that work for most occasions.
Today’s Cards
In today’s cards, I’m showcasing three designs of the patterned paper. The Night of Navy and Balmy Blue floral is the reverse side of the Soft Succulent subtle leaf pattern. The Balmy Blue subtle pattern one of the more mixable patterns in the Designer Series Paper. I die cut the Balmy Blue flower directly from the patterned paper with the coordinating die. This makes it so easy to create a pretty frame embellishment.
The frame is, of course, one of the frame dies in the set. I cut three of them and glued them together to make the frame a little thicker. The solid oval in the center (which is the middle of the die cut frame), is recessed inside the frame. It fit perfectly! I demonstrate this technique in the video tutorial.
This design is simple. I want to showcase the paper and frame. The Easel Fun Fold let’s you see the coordination of the paper. You can also create an Easel Fun Fold to use with many of the supplies you already have.
You can click the button below to download the Project Sheet with all of the layer dimensions for this card. A Video Tutorial for this card is coming soon. I think it’s so much easier to watch how a card is put together.
So, I hope you enjoy this Sneak Peek. Fitting Florets is one of those Bundles that I know you will enjoy. If you’re anything like me, you will love owning the Designer Series Paper!
… the only limitation is your imagination!
