Everyday Occasions

Everyday Occasions1

Isn't this card just the cutest? Check out that slim strip of glitter and that cool arrow paper clip! This is from Stampin' Up!'s Everyday Occasions Card Kit. You get all the supplies, including embellishments and envelopes (I mean all), and instructions, to make 20 cards.

Everyday Occasions2

Here are just two from the collection. Now, those of you who do follow my blog know that I generally don't do a lot of product selling here. I love all of the Stampin' Up! products and use them exclusively… I just enjoy card making and sharing design tips and tricks… but… (okay, there is a "but")… If there's any product from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog that I would say "go ahead and get", it's this card kit. The only supplies you'll need to have on hand are your favorite adhesive and scissors.

Everyday Occasions3

Last night, I finally opened my Kit and in no time at all, I created these beautiful cards. I will share a few more of the samples in future posts, but for now go ahead and give the Everyday Occasions a try. The instructions are clear, the supplies are organized, the box the kit comes in is sturdy and the quality is true Stampin' Up!.

For someone who is not really a card kit fan, I'm hooked! Oh, and the best part of all of this is that once you're finished creating the beautiful cards from the kit, you could CASE the designs with your favorits card stock, sentiments and embellishments. There's no limit to what you could create, and for any holiday or occasion.

So go ahead and get yourself one, you won't be disappointed.

Thinking Of You!

FMS106

Happy Friday all!

I created this card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches. The Design Team over at FMS always come up with simple and quick design sketches, and this week's no exception.

FMS+Final+106-001[1]

Clean and Simple and Quick & Easy is what this sketch is all about. I left a lot of white space because I thought it would be a bold contrast against the large Night of Navy circle.

My sentiment banner in Stampin' Up!'s Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper is also a striking contrast against all the white since the Night of Navy repeats itself and pulls you right to the sentiment. This is a perfect example of "color balance". The Night of Navy is strategically placed throughout the sketch design giving the card a balanced look.

The sentiment and frame is from one of Stampin' Up!'s new Hostess Sets, Sweetly Framed.

Poppies to Feel Better

Poppies1

Happy Monday and here's to another Paper Players Sketch Challenge. Sandy created a sketch for nothing but crafting pleasure and I had loads of fun putting this card together.

Pp164_2[1]

Although Sandy gave everybody some "artistic license", I stayed very close to the sketch. It just happened that way. My inspiration was the actual sketch and Stampin' Up!'s Pretty Print Texured Embossing Folder from the current Holiday Catalog.

  • The embossed print has such a simple, fun elegance to it. It replicates itself beautifully with the Core'dinations Card Stock
  • I lightly shaded the poppies from the Pleasant Poppies stamp set with my blender pen and some Pool Party and So Saffron ink pads and cropped them with Circles Collection Framelits.

Poppies3

  • My Large Scallop Edgelit created a pretty scalloped bottom border from Early Espresso and Pool Party card stock.

Poppies2

  • Just a touch of Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon works beautifully for some color balance.
  • "Feel Better Soon" is from my new "go to" Hostess Sentiment Set "Express Yourself". The font is simple and clean and works well with almost anything.

Have some stampin' fun and thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Let’s Hear It For Georgia!

Georgia 1

Georgia Egan is a member of my downline and a Stampin' Pretty Pal! She's a very talented stamper and paper crafter and I asked her if I could share some of her recent cards with you today.

Last Friday, I held my monthly Stamp Camp. Georgia has been a member of my group for more than a year and always comes in with a project she's created. She just got her Envelope Punch and wanted to show us the perfectly sized envelopes she made for these cards. Her envelopes were great, but her cards were Clean and Simple perfection!

Georgia 2

Although Georgia changed up the colors a bit, she got her inspiration from another Stampin' Pretty Pal, Susan Itell.

  • Perfect Plum, Daffodil Delight and Strawberry Slush are the "Flower Shop" colors Georgia used in the first card and the sentiment is from one of my very favorite sentiment stamp sets, Perfectly Penned. Whisper White Candy Dots are the perfect embellishment for these whimsical flowers.
  • The second card features three perfectly punched Elegant Butterflies on a Whisper White layer attached over Real Red card stock for a shadowbox effect. Large Pearl Basic Jewels placed in the center of the Elegant Butterflies adds just the right touch!

A big thank you to Georgia for sharing her pretty projects with us.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I wish you lots of stampin' fun!

Garden of Get Well Wishes

IMG_1266

"Color" is what this card is all about. Basic Gray and Crisp Cantaloupe…you need nothing more! Try this color combination with any sketch or stamp set. I guarantee, you'll be delighted. Oh, and add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels…you'll be more delighted!

I can't take all the credit for this one. I CASED this color scheme from Stampin' Up!'s Blog. These colors were featured by Stampin' Up! using another stamp set.

Flagged Banners and more banners! They're everywhere, and make such a striking statement. If you're like me, and love patterned paper, you could have your own private party cropping pretty flagged banners! A smidgen of the new Silver Foil Sheet cropped, and another Foil Sheet punched with the Chevron Punch adds a little shine to my get well wish.

Bundles! Coordinating Bundles! Stampin' Up! has such a wonderful collection of Bundles. I stamped these "Secret Garden" flowers with Basic Gray ink onto Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and perfectly cropped them in no time at all with the matching Secret Garden Framelits and my Big Shot.

The sweet and simple sentiment is from my new "go to" sentiment Hostess Stamp Set, "Express Yourself", and I used Naturals Ivory, Basic Gray and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock.

I made this card for a very special friend. I hope it brings a sparkle to her eyes and a shine in her smile!

Thanks for stopping by today, and have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
