It’s the end of March and Spring is rolling in quickly. The weather here in NJ has been warming up in the afternoons and I’m enjoying the sun and more daylight. April is an exciting month for me. Stampin’ Up! released the new Annual Catalog to all Demonstrators and it’s outstanding this year! We’ll have an opportunity to get our hands on the new products and showcase them. You’ll be seeing a lot of Sneak Peeks over the next couple of weeks. The new In Colors are really beautiful and they’ll coordinate nicely with all of our existing colors. There’s lots of good stuff coming your way soon, so keep checking in.
Speaking of good stuff, since it’s the last day of the month, I’m featuring cards created by my Team of wonderful stampers. We had our monthly meet-up last week and the projects, once again were beautiful and fun. Also, a few of my very talented customers were so kind to send me their beautiful projects which I’m displaying today. The card above is my favorite for March. You can click here to view my original post.
Now, let’s take a look at what the ladies created:
Monica used the Simply Succulents Bundle in Basic Gray and Petal Pink to create this sweet and simple card. Just a few layers, including a Stitched Rectangle, embossed texture and a pretty Baker’s Twine bow really make this card stand out. This is one of those favorite Quick and Easy designs great for those times when you need more than one card.
Georgia used the Delicate Petals stamp set. She prepared two matching cards and let us choose our colors. I chose Gorgeous Grape and Rococo Rose. The Wink of Stella is difficult to see in the photo, but it is stunning on the card. The Wink of Stella slightly ran the ink and created a shaded look on the Gorgeous Grape card. I think it creates a beautiful look since I’m a big fan of coloring with ink and a Blender Pen.
Below is Georgia’s card in Rococo Rose.
Next up is Barbara card. She created a Fun Fold design using the retired Welcome Easter stamp set. This is the cutest little lamb with that sweet bow. Barbara mixed Seaside Spray with Cajun Craze. I love the blues and oranges mixed together.
Below is the inside of Barbara’s card.
Karen’s created another Fun Fold for us. Her card is full of beautiful Spring colors. She used the Flowers For Every Season 6′ x 6″ Designer Series Paper which is retiring. Graceful flowers representing each of the four seasons make this paper a versatile, all-year choice. It’s on the “Last Chance List” and it’s on sale at 40% off.
Below is an open view of Karen’s card.
Below is Kathy’s card. Kathy is a very talented stamper who shares her beautiful cards with me. This is such a pretty card for Spring and I love the yellow and black combination. That gingham ribbon is beautiful.
Sally has been a busy stamper. She recently got the Ice Cream Corner Suite and sent me the most adorable cards.
This ice cream looks good enough to eat. Sally mentioned to me that she loves this set and knows she’ll use it over and over. The sentiments included with the set are adorable.
Sally’s Easter card is beautiful. These cute ducks are retired now, but this set will go on and on. Look at how Sally used the Stitched With Whimsy dies. I love to see the old with the new.
And last, but most definitely not least is Marilyn’s card. Marilyn kicked this one out of the park. Look at those cut hearts pouring out of the envelope. This card is a perfect way to send love.
I hope you enjoyed this parade of cards today and find some inspiration from all of these talented paper crafters. Next month, I’m sure I’ll have even more inspiration to share with you.
So, as I always say, find that perfect stamp set, cut a few layers, match up some pretty patterned paper, and create something “happy”.
Today I have Part 2 of my “Amazing Catty Case”. If you didn’t see my post yesterday, you can click here to take a look.
The card above is my third card and is a CASE of the third card of the “You Are Amazing” Project Kit on page 7 in the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. Below is the third card from the catty that I CASE’d. I had so much fun “playing with patterns”. Let’s talk about what I did.
I kept the polka dot background.
Since I didn’t have the tag top punch or the die for the bottom edge of the tag in Stampin’ Up!’s card, I created a large banner with Night of Navy cardstock and my Triple Banner Punch.
I kept the rest of the card design similar, but I added a little flagged banner to the bottom of my circle.
Stampin’ Up! used Baker’s Twine as an embellishment. I used Playing With Patterns Resin Dots.
Below is my version of the fourth card in Stampin’ Up!’s “You Are Amazing” Project Kit.
And here is Stampin’ Up!’s fourth and final card.
Here’s how I CASE’d the card above:
I kept the striped pattern for the card base layer with a striped pattern from Playing With Patterns DSP.
I added the same vertical strip down the center of the card as Stampin’ Up! did, but I used Night of Navy cardstock.
I created a patterned paper flagged banner with more patterned paper from Playing With Patterns (I had fun playing with these patterns… really!)
I tried using my Stitched Rectangle Dies to create a similar sentiment layer, but my sentiment sat better on a square.
Stampin’ Up! used Baker’s Twine to embellish their card and I used more Playing With Patterns Resin Dots.
As a recap, below are my cards from yesterday’s post along with the cards I CASE’d from Stampin’ Up!
This is the first card I CASE’d from the You Are Amazing Project Kit. This card was featured in yesterday’s post.
Stampin’ Up!’s card is below.
And here is the second card I CASE’d from the project kit. This card was featured in yesterday’s post.
Below is Stampin’ Up!’s catalog version.

CASEing can get those creative juices flowing for you and you can have fun enjoying the process of substituting, mixing and matching.
