Those of you who follow my blog know that I've taken some time away from my stamping to regenerate after a few life-altering changes over the past year. It feels so good to be spending time in my stamping room ("sacred space" as my friends call it), and interacting with my virtual friends again. It's going to be fun to see many of them in Atlanta soon, but that Stampin' Story will be for a future post. I'm sure it'll be interesting!
Yesterday, that fellow in the "Brown Truck" delivered my order from the new Holiday Catalog. Couldn't wait to get started.

Today's card is from me to you. I'm grateful to be sitting here writing this post and able to share "My Favorites" from the new catty.
"Happy Scenes" is a new stamp set that I promise you will use over and over again. I embossed the card layer with the new "Woodland" embossing folder. This one's definitely a keeper!
A little bit of color with my Stampin' Write Markers, some Whisper White Baker's Twine and a Brights Candy Dot finished this card nicely.
So, thank you all for your patience and know that I send you happy thoughts with a grateful heart.
Technically, it's still Fall, and honestly, I wanted to use up some of my "Motley Monsters" Designer Series Paper… so I designed this card for this week's Paper Players Sketch Challenge. LeAnne is challenging us with a clean, simple and versatile sketch.
The birch tree pattern in the DSP is easy to use as a background, making this card even easier to put together. Because the pattern is so bold, the sentiment had to be bold, so I chose "hi" from Stampin' Up!'s "Regarding Dahlia's" stamp set. I know I've used this sentiment over and over… it's clean, fresh and one of my favorites.
So, find a great background pattern, crop some circles, add a button and create something fabulous!
Welcome to the November Pals Blog Hop, we are thankful you stopped by. This month we are showcasing projects that show our thanks, including both thank you and Thanksgiving themed projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Dawn Tidd at Tiddbits From Dawn on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing projects.
Today, I was inspired not only by the Blog Hop theme, but the colors. I really wanted to showcase a project with Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Lost Lagoon. I came across this color combination while cleaning out my scrap basket… they landed together on my stamping table. So, I sort of created my own "color challenge".
I love "collage" cards and thought it was time to use some ribbon. The Lost Lagoon Stitched Satin Ribbon is absolutely beautiful to work with and the Striped Grosgrain Ribbon is so rich in texture; they work beautifully together.
I cropped the leaves with my Autumn Accents Bigz Die and some "Color Me Autumn" Designer Series Paper.
I hope you enjoy today's project as much as I enjoyed putting it all together.
So, empty out your scrap basket, pay attention to where your colors land, create your own "color challenge" and put together something fabulous!
The next stop is Kim Jolley at Stampin' Artfully on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
Over at the Fab Friday Challenge Blog they're having a Color Challenge celebrating some beautiful Fall colors; Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss.
So, I get to "play" with beautiful Blackberry Bliss again. How cool is that! But this time, I have Cajun Craze ink on my fingers, no kidding, it's really there!
Anyway, what a fun card this was to put together. The Blackberry Bliss striped patterned paper is from the "Color Me Autumn" Designer Series Paper set. Those subtle stripes just scream for a Whisper White base, and with a few cut pieces of Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze card stock, and some Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss cropped circles, the design comes alive with very little effort and even less time.
To balance the color and draw your eye to the "cheers!" sentiment, I added a Crushed Curry Designer Button from the Regals Collection threaded with just a little Whisper White Baker's Twine. That's it… done and fun!
Oh, in yesterday's post, I talked about the "Gallon, Quart, Pint" Design rule… here it's perfectly illustrated again. This time, you can tell me which is the gallon, quart and pint!
So, crop a few circles, grab some Blackberry Bliss, add a button and create something wonderful.

It's Thursday and another Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. Love these colors! … Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede… CLASSY!
Been thinking about this Challenge for a few days. One of the perks of being part of the "Pals" is that I'm able to see the upcoming Challenge before it goes live. When I first saw these colors I knew exactly how I wanted to present them… by using one of my favorite sketches. Sometimes it just happens, the sketch and colors fit like a "hand in a glove"! So, this one happened to be easy for me… I went with my instinct and enjoyed every step.
Here's a little "Design Tip"…when you're using a three-color combination, always keep the "Gallon, Quart, Pint" Rule in mind. One color should be your predominant color (your "Gallon"); one will be there, but not take over (your "Quart"), and one will be your accent – just a little (your "Pint").
So in this design, Soft Suede is my "Gallon", Cajun Craze is my "Quart", and Mossy Meadow is my "Pint".
Soft Suede and Cajun Craze are pretty close, but the difference is I framed the design with Soft Suede, so it's the front runner.
It's fun to see it all work as it should.
So, pull out your favorite sketch, use these gorgeous colors and create something classy!
