Welcome to the March Pals Blog Hop celebrating spring. This month we are featuring spring related projects for Mother’s Day, Easter or any other occasion that celebrates winter coming to an end… finally!
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Michelle Gleeson at Stampin Mojoon the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
Here's my tribute to Spring… flowers, flowers and more flowers. Stampin' Up!'s beautiful "Painted Petals" stamp set is just stunning. The stamps are so detailed that the flowers really do look as though they were painted with watercolors. These note cards are 3 1/2" X 5" and my color inspiration came from the "Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper".
Rose Red Beautiful Blooms
Pool Party Tulips (I just love these)
Perfect Plum Roses (Exotic)
Crushed Curry Tulips (these tulips are so cute)
So get yourself some "Painted Petals" and create some pretty painted note cards.
The next stop is Jane Knudsen at see jane stampon the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
Flowers, flowers and more flowers! Another post featuring flowers. I want flowers and lots of sunshine… and I'm writing this post during yet another snow storm.
As you can see, I was playing around with more patterned paper today mixing up patterns and shapes. I even did a little embossing.
Although this card looks busy, there's really not much to it. The patterned layers are from "Best Year Ever" Designer Series Paper; part of Stampin' Up!'s Sale A Bration product line and free with a $50.00 purchase until the end of the month.
Apothecary Arts and Flower Fair Framelits cropped the labels and flowers.
"Thank You" is from the new "Painted Petals" stamp set.
Inspired by the patterned paper, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana is a great color palette to show off the pretty "Flower Patch" flowers.
Basic Gray is a wonderful neutral to ground the mix and no embellishment needed here, except for a touch of Calypso Coral Baker's Twine.
So, pull out some bright, sunny patterned paper, crop some layers and create something wonderful!
Happy Sunday stampers! It's Spring over at The Paper Players, and I'm writing this post in the middle of another snow storm here in the Northeast. Hopefully, this is the last one.
So, for Laurie's first Theme Challenge and to celebrate the arrival of Spring, I decided on butterflies and a soft color palette.
Butterflies, buttons, bows and a sweet sentiment all combine to create a peaceful card, don't you agree?
The patterned paper is from the "Moonlight" DSP Stack and the sentiment is from "Yippee Skippee". My Soft Sky butterflies are from "Papilion Potpourri" and punched with my "Elegant Butterfly" punch.
So, grab a slice of DSP, add a butterfly, button and bow and create something pretty!
This week over at Freshly Made Sketches, Jen B. created a very simple sketch which inspired today's project.
We've had so many gray days and so much snow here in the Northeast that I wanted to turn to some light Spring colors. Today the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and it feels good. My project inspired me to go out and bring home some fresh flowers.
A few stamped flowers from the Flower Patch stamp set, a hand cropped tag punched with my 3/4" Scalloped Circle Punch, some Whisper White Baker's Twine and a pretty piece of patterned paper from the All Abloom DSP Paper Stack all came together quickly and easily.
"You Made My Day" is a sentiment from Sale-A-Bration's Best Day Ever stamp set. It's free with a $50.00 product purchase and a versatile stamp set to own.
So, crop some Spring flowers, add a sentiment tag and create something sunny!
It's Thursday and that means another Pals Paper Arts Challenge… but, this isn't just an ordinary PPA Challenge (not that any of them are)… today is a super special Pals Challenge. All of us from both Pals Design Teams are teaming up to celebrate our 200th Design Challenge.
That means you get twice the inspiration from the wonderful sketch by our very own Margaret Moody. So be sure to click over to the Pals Paper Arts and play with us. There's some super surprises waiting for you!
Each of the 20 Design Team members will mail their card and matching envelope to one lucky winner randomly chosen from our Gallery. The winner will receive all 20 cards from our Design Team. How cool is that?
For some more fun, The Pals Design Team decided to create projects using only one color and Whisper White. I chose Rich Razzleberry… its bright, fun and I love how it pops against the Whisper White.
The beautiful flower is from the "Simple Stems" stamp set in the new Occasions Catalog. The dimension in the stamped image is stunning! To add a little more dimension, I fussy cut the flower and popped it on my card layer with some Stampin' Dimensionals. My little "Hello" on the sentiment banner is from the "Perfect Pennants" stamp set, also in the new Occasions Catalog.
So, pull out your favorite stamps, cut some layers and create something wonderful to link up with us… you can also play along and choose your favorite color… only one, please!
