Look at the embossed background for this card. I used the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder to get this detailed, classic design. You can only imagine how pretty the embossing looks. The photo doesn’t do it the justice it deserves.
It was so easy to make this simple card. Aside from the textured background layer, I used one of the Spotlight On Nature Dies to die cut the reindeer and birds directly from the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper. The designs in the DSP are sweet and nostalgic, bringing back years-ago Christmases. By the way, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3.00 to support children’s literacy for each Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper pack sold. Other than the beautiful designs, that’s a pretty good reason to get a pack for yurself.
So, let’s make a card!
Parts And Pieces
I cut a Thick Basic White cardstock card base 4 1/4″ x 11″, and scored it at 5 1/2″.
The Shaded Spruce embossed cardstock layer is 3 1/2″ x 5″.
I cut a Poppy Parade cardstock layer 2″ x 3 1/4″, and rounded the corners with a corner round punch.
The reindeer die cut circle is about 2 5/8″ in diameter.
The flagged Pecan Pie and white patterned paper banner is 1″ x 3 1/2″.
I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and embossed it using white embossing powder. The layer measures 3/8″ x 3″.
Assemble the focal point cluster as shown and adhere it to the card front.
I embellished with Pecan Pie Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots.
I thought it would be fun to share a Sketch of this card design. Sketches make it easy to create your personal designs using different Designer Series Paper and color combinations. Have fun with it.
So, download the inapiration sketch, create a textured background, add a layered focal point, and create something wonderful to share with someone special.

Hey there! I hope you can spend some weekend time in your craft space. My inspirtion card showcases a Sneak Peek at the new Rgal Winter Suite Collection. It’s in the upcoming September-December, 2024 Mini Catalog. Aren’t the colors in the Regal Winter 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper stunning? A “Regal” color palette without a doubt.
I wanted you to see all of the patterns in the DSP pack, so I prepared a swatch card. The designs on the left side of the swatch card are the floral designs, and the patterns on the right are the reverse side of the corresponding design.
A Warm And Regal Color Paette
Below are the coordinating colors in the Regal Winter DSP. Once you see the actual patterned paper, you’ll add your favorite colors.
If you take a closer look at my card below, I included Lost Lagoon and Balmy Blue mixed with Blackberry Bliss. It’s always fun to mix in colors. When I took a look at the floral pattern, I saw Lost Lagoon and Balmy Blue. It wouldn’t surprise me if you come up with other colors you can add.
The Regal Floral Bundle includes a Cling Stamp Set that is “Distinktive”, as well. The shading in the stamped images is beautiful. The Regal Floral Dies include the unique frame die I used today. The Die cuts both the embossed edge sentiment layer, and an embossed edge frame. As you can see, they’re two separate pieces.
Below is a sketch I created. Take a look at some of the supplies you already have and create your version of this card. The cutting dimensions are below.
Are you ready to make a card?
Parts & Pieces
I cut a Blackberry Bliss card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, and scored it at 4 1/4″.
The white mat layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
The patterned paper layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″.
I die cut a Basic White and Blackberry Bliss sentiment layer using the large frame die from the Regal Floral Dies. It measures about 2″ x 3 1/2″.
Under the right corner of the sentiment layer is a strip of Pretty Peacock DSP. It’s 3 1/2″ x 1/2″. I attached it about an inch up from the bottom and about 1/4″ in from the right edge of the patterned paper layer
I cut the lacy strip with a die from the Regal Floral Dies. It measures about 3 1/2″ x 3/4″. I glued this strip over the Pretty Peacock strip as shown.
I attached the white stamped sentiment layer to the center of the card front, covering part of the Pretty Peacock and White strips, as shown.
Then, I attached the Blackberry Bliss frame around the sentiment layer.
I stamped and die cut two leaf sprays and attached them to the sentiment layer as shown.
I added a Pretty Peacock Regal Foiled Dot to embellish.
To finish the card, I stamped an image from the Regal Floral Stamp Set on the inside and added a sentiment.

Once again, I needed inspiration to create a post for my “Weekend Inspiration”. I dedcided to go through my Blog Gallery and found a card that inspired today’s card. You can see my inspiration card here.
Now that I had my design, I hadto decide how to use it. I went through my patterned paper and opted to go with the Full Of Life Designer Series Paper. Next was the pattern. If you’ve seen this Paper Pack, there are beautiful watercolor washed designs in all colorss. In past posts, I’ve showcased the color block patterns, but haven’t done anything with the watercolor patterns. As you can see, I went with one of the “full of color” watercolor patterns. I strategically cut ssquares from another sheet of the same paper emphasizing three of the colors. I enjoyed putting this quick and easy design together.
So you can create your own version of this card design, I made a new sketch you can follow. Have fun with it! All of the cutting dimensions are below.
Pieces And Parts
I cut a Basic Black cardstock card base 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored it at 5 1/2″.
The patterned paper card front layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
Each of the Basic Black square mat layers is 1 3/8″.
Each of the paterned paper squares is 1 1/4″.
I used one of the sentiments from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. I was able to use the coordinating die to die cut the sentiment. Wanting to have the Basic Black mat layer on the sentiment, I used glue to attach the die cut sentiment to a piece of Basic Black cardstock and fussy cut it.
The three squares and the sentiment are attached with glue.
The inside writing layer is stamped with the large “Celebrate” stamp from the new Iconic Imagery Stamp Set.
Once you decide on which patterned paper, colors, and stamped or die cut elements to use, you can create this card in just a few minutes.
Do you have a stamp or die set with smaller images? Stamp, cut, and add your favorite patterned paper. It’ll be fun to see what you design. Most of all, have fun.
You will receive everything you need to put the cards together as I’ve designed them except for your glue or tape runner. You will receive Dimensionals, if used.
The kit will include the card bases, layers, die cuts, embellishments, sentiment layers, and envelopes.
I cannot send stamped images, but you will have a sentiment layer you can customize to a stamp you already own, or you can purchase the Everyday Details Bundle.
You will also receive a printed PDF Tutorial, along with a video link so you can put the cards together along with me.
You will automatically receive this kit with a minimum product purchase of $50.00 through my online store.
This card kit will be available through July 31st, 2024.

Isn’t the textured background on this card pretty? This Designer Series Paper is from the Country Lace DSP Pack.
I have to say that the new Basic Beige cardstock color is truly a winner! I’ve used it in the past with Early Espresso, Calypso Coral and Wild Wheat. Today, I paired it with two of my favorite blues – Pool Party and Lost Lagoon.
My design is a simple one. You can use any products you already have to create your version. Below is a sketch I created so you can easily see the creative possibilities for this design. Have fun with it!
Are you ready to make a card? Let’s get started!
Pieces & Parts
I cut the Basic Beige cardstock card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side.
The Basic White mat layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
The patterned paper top layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″.
I cut the patterned paper cross layer 2″ x 4″. It’s attached with glur.
Rather than a paper banner, I used a 6 1/2″ piece of the Natural Finish Ribbon to create a layer for the sentiment.
The sentiment layer is die cut using one of the dies from the Everyday Details Dies. It measures about 7/8″ x 2 1/4″.
Instead of using rectangle patterned paper strips (as shown in the sketch), I opted for two larger die cuts from the Flowers of Beauty Dies. You can also substitute this part of the design with ribbon strips and omit the ribbon on the cross layer. I think that would be a fun switch.
I adhered all of the elements with glue except for the ribbon. Stampin’ Seal works best for this.
I finished my design with a few of the blue Blooming Pearls.
So, I hope you use this sketch to create your unique version of this card. Sketches are a great source of inspiration and you will be surprised where your creativity leads you. Most importantly, just have fun with it.

If there’s a Bundle you’ve had your eyes on, you can save more from June 5th through June 30th with the additional discount.
Even Better! As much as I love Bundles, you absolutely have to have a cutting machine. If you don’t have one, think about investing in one during the month of June. From today, June 5th through June 30th, the Stampin’ Cut And Emboss Machine and the Mini Stampin’ Cut And Emboss Machine will be discounted 10%.
I’m sure you’ve heeard me say that I love my “Mini”. I do! Its smaller size makes it easy for me to keep it on my work surface when I’m making a card or project. The dies run through the machine smoothly and it cuts evenly.

When I sat down to create a card for thisWeekend Inspiration Post, I could’t decide what to do. I have a Sketch Book from many years ago, and decided to look through it to get started. A card sketch is always a good way to get inspiration. To me, it’s like putting together a puzzle. You have a picture of the general design, and you fill in the blanks.
I re-created the sketch so I could share it with you.
I tried fitting the sketch to a different Designer Series Paper Pack, but wasn’t happy with the way it was going. The Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper Pack fit perfectly. It was the large tile square in the DSP that seealed the deal for me. The remaining elements and layers naturally fit into place.
I suppose the moral of my story is to have an open mind when you sit down to create your card or project. After that first cut to your paper, you never know where your imagination will take you. Have fun with this sketch!
Parts & Pieces
I cut a Night of Navy cardstock card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/4″.
The Boho Blue cardstock mat layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
The patterned paper top layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″.
I cut one of the large tile squares directly from a pattern in the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. It measures about 3″.
The Boho Blue cardstock strip is 1″ x 5 1/4″.
I cut the Basic White cardstock sentiment strip 1/2″ x 2 3/4″.
The lemon branch element is fussy cut directly from the Designer Series Paper.
I stamped a small flower with Daffodil Delight ink, stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy Ink and added a few Opal Rounds to finish the design.
All of the card layers are adhered with liquid glue. I attached the lemon branch with Dimensionals.
So, find a fun sketch, pick some pretty patterned paper, fill in the blanks, and watch your unique design come to life.
