One of my favorite Bundles is on the Last Chance List. The Gorgeously Made Bundle will be off the shelf as of Ap;ril 30th. It has everything you need to create beautiful cards and projects. There are large element dies, a notebook edged die, and you can even get a torn paper look with a special die. There’s only one sentiment layer die, but it’s sized for most sentiments.
The Gorgeously Made stamp set includes two background stamps, large floral focal point stamps, and three clean and simple sentiments.
If the Gorgeously Made Bundle has been on your radar, add it to your wish list. It’s available until April 30th or while supplies last.
So, let’s make a card!
Parts & Pieces
The Parakeet Party (retiring color as of April 30th), cardstock card base is 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ on the long side.
The Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″. (It’s retiring as of April 30th).
I marked the top of the DSP layer at 1 1/4″ from the left side, and put a pencil mark at 1 3/4″ down from the top on the right side.
Align the two pencil marks in the paper trimmer and score on the diagonal from pencil mark to pencil mark.
I folded the corner down toward the center of the card and adhered the folded corner to the layer.
I cut a Parakeet Party cardstock layer 1 1/2″ x 2 3/4″.
To create the triangle, I cut the cardstock layer on the diagonal from point to point. (This piece should fit into the folded triangle at the top of your patterned paper layer).
Attach the patterned paper layer to the card base.
Stamp and attach your sentiment as shown.
Die cut a Parakeet Party cardstock element from the Gorgeously Made Dies, snip it to the size you want and attach it under the sentiment layer.
Embellish your beautiful card.
So, pick out a beright, bold patterned paper, fold down the corner, attach it to a cardstock card base, and create a Gorgeously Made masterpiece to share with a friend.
This month, the theme is Sale-A-Bration. We hope that you will be inspired by the creations the Pals are sharing with you! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Can you notice the die cut circle in the center of my card? It has a little “pull tab” on the right. Well, if you pull up the tab, you will definitely be surprised. Under the bright and fun element cluster is a “Hooray” sentiment, just for you!
The Hooray For Surprises Bundle is featured in my post today, and I’m also showcasing both the Sunny Days and Most Adored Designer Series Paper packs. They’re both in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure and are free with a $50 product purchase. You can get the Hooray For Surprises Bundle and pick a pretty pack of Designer Series Paper to make lots of “surprise” cards to share.
Here are a few more cards I put together with this Bundle and the featured Designer Series Paper. Once I got started, I was able to breeze through constructing the surprise layers in no time at all.
Parts & Pieces
There are Video and PDF Tutorials below that will give more “construction” details.
The Pool Party cardstock card base is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.

The Pool Party small cardstock layer is 3 1/2″ x 3″.
The Pool Party patterned paper layer is 3 3/8″ x 2 7/8″.
There’s a secret Basic White layer that you will need. It’s 3 1/4″ x 2 3/4″.
I stamped the flowers with Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet ink, and die cut them with the coordinating dies.
There are a few Basic Black die cut sprigs, and Basic White small flowers. These are also die cuts using the Hooray For Surprises Dies.
I stamped the sentiment with Black Memento ink and hand cropped the banner.
I dotted the centers of the small flowers with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

Here’s some weekend inspiration for you. It comes with another Stampin’ Story and honors a very dear friend, team member and talented paper crafter, Georgia Egan. Georgia passed away this week, losing her battle with bile duct cancer. In the past, I’ve showcased some of Georgia’s work here on my blog. Today, I thought I would use a technique Georgia taught me many years ago. It’s called Iris Folding.
Iris Folding is a detailed technique using folded paper to create concentric patterns. It’s enjoyable and the outsome is amazing and unique only to you. One of my original Iris Folding cards is below. I believe I created this card about eight or nine years ago. The Iris Folding technique is the center of the card.
My card, today, is a scaled down version of Iris Folding using up scraps of DSP, a punch, and glue or your favorite adhesive.
Today’s Card Pieces And Parts
I punched a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Country Bouquet Punch.
Then, I die cut the punched image using one of my Stitched Circle Dies.
The circle measures 3″ in diameter.
I chose several patterns from the Regency Park Designer Series Paper and cut them into 1/4″ strips.
With the wrong sice of the punched image facing up, I attach the strips to the back of the punched layer to create a pattern.
I checked the front of my design consistently to make sure my pattern was forming the way I wanted it to look.
The image below shows the back of my circle. Lots of overlapping scraps!
I attached the circle to my card front with Dimensionals and added a sentiment.
That’s it!
So, find that amazing punch or die, circle it, cut some paper scraps, and fill your design, and create something unique to you!

The Fresh Freesia card base is 4 ” x 11″. scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ on the longer 11″ side.
Fold at the center 5 1/2″ score line first then fold the 2 3/4″ piece in toward the center fold. Burnish your folds.
The Basic White card front layer is 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″.
The card front patterned paper layer is 3 1/2″ x 5″.
The Inside
The inside of the card has three Basic White layers.
Cut the bottom Basic White layer 2″ x 3 3/4″ – Cut the center Basic White layer 3″ x 3 3/4″ – Cut the top Basic White layer 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″.
The patterned paper layer for the sentiment panel is 1 3/4″ x 3 1/2″.
The patterned paper layer for the center of the inside is 3 1/2″ x 2 3/4″.
Attach all of your layers to the inside of the card as shown below.
The top two layers are attached with Multipurpose Glue while the bottom layer is attached with Dimensionals.

Cut a white sentiment strip and cardstock layer to the size you need for your sentiment.
The basic white sentiment strip in my card is 7/8″ x 2″.
The cardstock layer for the sentiment strip is 1 1/8″ x 2 1/4″.
I stamped and fussy cut the flowers and leaves from the Friendly Hello stamp set and shaded them with Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green Blends.
They’re attached with Dimensionals.
The large Friendly Hello sentiment is stamped directly onto the patterned paper front with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
Just A Note
A regular A-2 card is 4 1/4″ wide. This card is 4″ wide. It has a bit of dimension and does fit nicely into a regular A-2 envelope.
I hope you enjoy re-creating this card as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
So, find some great patterned paper, add coordinating cardstock, fussy cut some flowers and create a special easel card to say hello to a special friend!
