Happy Sunday, Friends! The Paper Players are challenging you again! Anne Marie is hosting this week with a super fun Color Challenge. She chose Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papaya , Early Espresso and any other color. I decided to go with Bermuda Bay.

A New Stampin’ Story
Today’s card has some interesting inspiration that I want to share. When I saw Anne Marie’s color choices I thought my Pretty Pumpkins Bundle would be perfect. I thought about my 4th color and Evening Evergreen came to mind. I went into the kitchen for some tea. A nice cup of ginger tea is always good in my craft room. I noticed my Fall dish towel hanging on the front of the stove.

As much as Evening Evergreen would have worked, I decided on Bermuda Bay. Inspiration can be anywhere!!
Another Change
The rest of the card came together quickly. I did make a change mid way through while putting the card together. I inked up the edges of the layers with Early Espresso ink and scrapped that idea fast. As much as I love inky cards with curled edges and a vintage vibe, I suppose I’m a clean card maker at heart.
My secret stash of Candy Dots from way back always serve me well. One Candy Dot helped balance the color and added that extra somthing I wanted for this card.

So, take a look around, see what your 4th color might be and create something fun and fabulous to link up with us over at the Paper Players. We always enjoy seeing your creations.

Hello Friends! It’s Sunday and time for another Paper Players Challenge. This week, Laurie is challenging us with a “Spooky” Theme.

It’s great to be back to playing along with the rest of this fabulous Design Team. I took some time away to do a little travelling. While I had a wonderful trip, it’s always good to be home.
My card today is a collage including everything “Spooky”. For inspiration, I went straight to the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. I thought the haunted house pattern would be perfect for the Theme. To me, there’s nothing spookier than a haunted house! The patterned paper also guided my color choice; Old Olive, Basic Black and Basic White.

A few die cuts and a bit of fussy cutting gave me the elements I wanted to use. They’re all from the Frightfully Cute stamp set and matching Frightful Tags Dies. The “Spooky” sentiment is a stamp from a long ago favorite set called Among The Branches. Yes, I went back in time for this one. It’s a perfect “spooky” fit for this design.
Today’s Card Layer Dimensions:
- The Old Olive card base is a top fold A-2 base cut at 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″.
- The Basic Black bottom layer is 4 1/8″ x 2 1/4″.
- The patterned paper layer is 3″ x 4 3/8″.
- The Basic Black layer framing the patterned paper layer is 3 1/8″ x 4 1/2″.
- Save these measurements. This card design is easy to duplicate with your favorite stamps, dies and patterned paper.
So, find the perfect “spooky” patterned paper, add some “spooky” die cuts and create something fun to link up with us over at the Paper Players this week.

Happy Sunday! It’s Clean and Simple week at the Paper Players and our amazing Claire is hosting. She wants us to create a Fun Fall CAS card. Just a reminder… a CAS card is Clean and Simple with minimal layers, lots of white space and little or no embellishments.

When I think of Fall Fun, I think of leaves falling and leaving their colorful beauty on the ground. Yes, I’ve spent many years raking leaves, and that was fun, too… most of the time!
I truly enjoy creating CAS cards and this one’s no exception. It didn’t take much effort on my part to decide which stamps and dies to use. The Love of Leaves stamp set and Stitched Leaves Dies are a favorite.
The texture in my card layer and leaves is easily created using the Dies. My leaves are stamped with Mossy Meadow, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider ink. I attached my “galling leaves” with Dimensionals and my card was complete.

So, find a Fun Fall stamp set, add some simple texture and create something clean and simple to link up with us over at the Paper Players.

Happy Sunday!
It’s time for another Paper Players Challenge. This week, our amazing Ann is hosting a fun Color Challenge. She chose Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry and Polished Pink plus one more color. I chose Sahara Sand as my optional color. It’s a subtle Neutral that works with both warm and cool colors.

My card has lots of layers and a simple basket of blooms. The layers create the depth needed for this simple design. Along with this bold color combination, I’m showcasing the Season’s Blessings Bundle which is in the Annual Catalog on page 94. The Bundle includes the Season’s Blessings Stamp Set and the Seasonal Basket Dies. The dies match all of the flower blooms in the stamps. It’s easy to fill your basket with beautiful stamped and die cut blooms for Christmas, Fall and anything in between.

The crisp, bold colors are perfect for these large blooms and a neutral basket. Each of the flowers are stamped, die cut and attached with Dimensionals. The mixed sentiment font is perfect for the relaxed look of the blooms in a basket.
So, find a great Bundle, die cut some large flowers, pop them into a basket and say thank you to someone special. Oh, and don’t forget to link up with us over at the Paper Players. We all love to see your creations.

Happy Sunday and welcome to the Paper Player’s Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Jaydee is our host this week.
It’s easy to play Tic-Tac-Toe. Select a column or row down, across or diagonally and create your project according to the themes in your selection! I chose the third column down on the challenge grid; a square card with a masculine look using a neutrals color palette.

My card is a 5″ square showcasing the Peaceful Cabin Bundle and the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper. Along with the Challenge themes this week, I was inspired by the Peaceful Place Product Suite.
It was the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper that made my decision to use the Peaceful Cabin Bundle for today’s Challenge. It’s one of Stampn’ Up!’s Specialty Designer Series Paper packs. Some of the designs are subtly embossed, some have silver sparkle built in and some are everyday patterns you can use for lots of projects. I left a large border around the stamped and die cut cabin scene to show off the beautiful patterned paper. The DSP’s color palette is Basic Black, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.

The Peaceful Cabin Bundle includes the Peaceful Cabin stamp set and the Cabin Dies. This is one Bundle you can’t split. For a truly peaceful cabin scene you absolutely need both. It’s like having chocolate without peanut butter! You just can’t do that!!
Here’s how this card came together:
- The card base is a finished 5″ square with a 4 7/8″ Basic Gray cardstock layer.
- The patterned paper layer is a 4 3/4″ square.
- I stamped the cabin image with Basic Gray ink onto a 3 3/4″ square of Thick Basic White cardstock. The bottom of the stamped image is about an inch up from the bottom of the cardstock layer.
- I used the matching die to cut the top of the cabin image. The die fits across the top of the cabin perfectly.
- I die cut the two pine trees with the excess Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment is stamped with Basic Gray ink.
- I added a few plain white Shimmer Sequins which are part of the Peaceful Place Suite.
- I wanted a little embellishment, but I wanted it to be subtle.

This card came together quickly and easily. This truly is a “Peaceful Cabin”.
So, pick a column or row, down, across or diagonally and create something fun or peaceful, or both to link up with us over at the Paper Players.
