Inspired by a Junk Journal Tutorial I saw, I came up with a folio version for a gift card holder. It’s fun to use the Snowy Wonder and Reindeer Fun Bundles for this project, along with the Snowy Wonder and Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper Packs. Check in on the Last Chancce Product Category in my online store, or click on the thumbnail image at the end of this post for more details on these products.
The Snowy Days and Reindeer Fun Bundles were on top of my Wish List in the September-December Mini Catalog. I got them because of the variety of stamp and coordinating die images. The images are great for little decorative elements. Use them on cards, boxes, and gift card holders (as I’ve used them here). They’re great for creating your customized ephemera. I enjoyed mixing the elements and Designer Series Paper to create these Mini Folio Gift Card Holders.
Below are photos of the inside of two of the Folio Gift Card Holders.
PDF And Video Tutorials
The PDF Tutorial includes all the cutting dimensions you’ll need to design your version of the Folio Gift Card Holder. I also included the belly band dimensions if you choose to design yours with a belly band closure.
Keep in mind, you can use the belly band, create a magnet closure, or a little latch closure. It’s up to you!

It’s that time again. I’m getting tags ready and showcasing the Snowy Wonder Bundle. The Bundle is in the Last Chance section, while supplies last.
When I originally saw the Snowy Wonder Bundle, tags came to mind. I knew it would be a great Bundle for tags, along with cards, and creating my own ephemera for other holiday and winter projects. There are lots of little elements you can stamp and cut with the coordinating dies.
Creating these tags was easy since I cut some of the elements directly frm the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper using the coordinating dies.
So, let’s make a tag!
Parts & Pieces For the Little House Tag
I die cut the tag from one of my Tailor Made Tags Dies (they’re no longer available). You can cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″, use a corner round punch to round the edges, and punch a hole in the top.
I stamped the house directly to the tag using Poppy Parade ink.
I created a “mask” of the house using the stamp and a sticky note. (You can also use Masking Sheets – #155480. I die cut the sticky note house with the coordinating die.
Place the mask house over the stamped house on the tag.
Stamp the snowflake image (using Pool Party ink), over the masked house, as shown.
Remove the mask. The snowflake appears to be behind the house.
Stamp the smaller snowflake as shown.
I stamped and die cut the two little snow drifts.
The Garden Green trees are die cuts.
Assemble the elements as shown, and use your Markers or Blends to shade the windows and door.
Technique Tip: Masking
I chose the first tag in my photo to illustrate the “masking” technique. I masked the house and stamped the snowflake over the mask to give the appearance the snowflake is behind the house. For those who have never tried “masking”, you can download and print the PDF Tutorial by clicking the blue button below. There are additional photos in the Tutorial.
The snowman and penguin tags are quick and easy. I die cut them directly from the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper.
The Snowman Tag has no stamping. The trees and snowflakes, along with the snowman, are die cuts.
The Penguin Tag has two stamped snowflakes, and I stamped the snow drifts.
You can quickly and easily put together a bunch of tags using the Snowy Wonder Bundle and the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper. They’re both in the Last Chancecategory on my website under “Specials & Promotions.
The Hearts of Elegance Bundle and the Marbled Elegande Designer Series Paper are new in my Online Exclusives Shop. I thought it would be fun to take a little break from Holiday cards and cut some of this beautiful Designer Series Paper.
The Heartfelt Elegance Bundle
The Bundle is themed for Valentine’s Day, however there are a few sentiments that are more generic. I featured one of them in this card, which is a birthday card. I stamped the inside with a “Happy Birthday” sentiment.

The Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper
The patterned paper pack features habnd-poured marbled designs accented with gold foil. The paper is double-sided, and on the reverse side are subtle generic patterns.

Pieces & Parts
I cut a Basic White cardstock card base 4 1/4″ x 11″, and scored it at 5 1/2″.
The Melon Mambo patterned paper card front layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″.
The banner strip of coordinating patterned paper is 2″ x 3 1/4″.
I cut two pieces of ribbon 3″ and angle cut the ends.
The gold heart, stamped flowers, and leaves are die cut with the coordinating Hearts of Elegance Dies.
I die cut a Deckled Edge Circle using one of the Dies in the set. It measures about 2 3/8″ in diameter.
The sentiment is samped onto a Basic White cardstock strip 1″ x 2 3/4″. I used my corner round punch to round the ends.
Attach the cicle first, then attach the patterned paper banner onto the left side of the circle.
Adhere the two strips of ribbon over the banner using glue dots.
Attach the sentiment layer, as shown, using Dimensionals.
I angled and placed the gold heart just above and to the left of the sentiment. I attached it with Dimensionals.
Adhere the flowers and leaves as shown using glue and Dimensionals.
Embellish with a few of the Adhesive Backed Heart Sequins.

Here’s a quick and easy card showcasing the Snowy Wonder Bundle and the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper. Creating this fun card design is easy with the perfect pairing of Designer Series Paper, stamps, and dies.
Let’s make a card!
Parts & Pieces
I started with a Petal Pink cardstock card base that’s 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″.
The plaid patterned paper layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″.
The Poppy Parade cardstock square is 2 1/2″.
I hand cut the banner. It measures 2″ x 4″.
The snow globe and base are die cuts directly from one of the sheets in the Designer Series Paper pack.
How To Hand Crop A Banner
The banner on my card is 2″ x 4″.
I measured up from the bottom of the cut DSP about 3/4″, and made a pencil mark estimating the center.
Since the banner is 2″ wide, my center will be 1″ in from each sice.
I put a pencil mark at the 1″ mark from the side and 3/4″ up from the bottom.
I made an angle cut from the bottom corner of each side of the patterned paper to the center pencil mark. See the photo below.
You can used this formula with any size banner you want to meke. Simply adjust the measurements.
Assembling this card is also easy. Just attach the large patterned paper layer to the center of the card base front. Adhere the square to the left side of the card front as shown, and adhere the banner over it. I attched the die cut snow globe and base with Dimensionals.
The sentiment is embossed with WOW White embossing powder.
So, make a few banners and use them for fun card front layouts. Finish off your card with a fun focal point, and add embellishments.
You will receive everything you need to put the cards together as I’ve designed them except for adhesives. You will receive Dimensionals, if used.
The Kit will include the card bases, layers, die cuts, embellishments, sentiment layers, and envelopes.
I cannot send stamped images, but you will have a sentiment layer you can customize to a stamp you already own, or you can purchase the Reindeer Funb Stamp Set. It’s on page 27 in the September-December, 2024 Mini Catalog.
You will also receive a printed PDF Tutorial, along with a video link so you can put the cards together with me.
You will automatically receive this kit with a minimum product purchase of $50.00 through my online store.
This card kit will be available through November 30th, 2024.
I have so much fun with ink and Masks (Stampin’ Up! refers to stencils as “Decorative Masks”. I created the background designs for each of my featured cards using the same Decoraive Mask, a Sponge Dauber, and/or Blending Brush, and ink.
Keep in mind, it doesn’t have to be perfect! It has to be fun for you. You can truly express your unique creativity by enjoying the ease of matching the already coordinating color palettes in the Stampin’ Up! color family to a Decorative Mask.
And, theer’s A Bonus Involved!
Both of my backgrounds were created using the Autumn leaf Mask from the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. They’re in the CLEARANCE RACK! YAY! All of the details are at the end of this post in my PRODUCT DETAILS section.
I also created a simple written PDF Tutorial you can download and file for future reference. The process is so easy, you probably won’t have to refer back to it, but you’ll have it anyway. Enjoy this fun process and I would love to hear about your experience with Masks.
I thought it would be fun to share other cards I created using Decorative Masks.
My card below showcases one of the patterns from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. I stenciled a “frame” background using the Mask. You can click on the photo to go to my original post.
I created the Clean And Simple card below using the Lovliest Layers Decorative Masks. You can click on the photo to go to my original post.
And, here’s another card I created using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks.
One of my true favporites is the card bwlow. I used the Leaves of Beauty Bundle for this one. The Decorative Masks create the flower focal point. There’s a stamp and die in the Bundle that coordinated with the Masks to stamp the image, then die cut it. It’s quick and easy to create a beautiful card.
So, grab your favorite Decorative Mask, create a beautiful inked background or focal point, and share your project with someone special.
You will receive everything you need to put the cards together as I’ve designed them except for adhesives. You will receive Dimensionals, if used.
The Kit will include the card bases, layers, die cuts, embellishments, sentiment layers, and envelopes.
I cannot send stamped images, but you will have a sentiment layer you can customize to a stamp you already own, or you can purchase the Sentimental Wishes Stamp Set. It’s on page 29 in the September-December, 2024 Mini Catalog.
You will also receive a printed PDF Tutorial, along with a video link so you can put the cards together with me.
You will automatically receive this kit with a minimum product purchase of $50.00 through my online store.
This card kit will be available through October 31st, 2024.
As always, please reach out to me with any quesitons.
