Happy Sunday! It’s Clean and Simple week at the Paper Players and our amazing Claire is hosting. She wants us to create a Fun Fall CAS card. Just a reminder… a CAS card is Clean and Simple with minimal layers, lots of white space and little or no embellishments.

When I think of Fall Fun, I think of leaves falling and leaving their colorful beauty on the ground. Yes, I’ve spent many years raking leaves, and that was fun, too… most of the time!
I truly enjoy creating CAS cards and this one’s no exception. It didn’t take much effort on my part to decide which stamps and dies to use. The Love of Leaves stamp set and Stitched Leaves Dies are a favorite.
The texture in my card layer and leaves is easily created using the Dies. My leaves are stamped with Mossy Meadow, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider ink. I attached my “galling leaves” with Dimensionals and my card was complete.

So, find a Fun Fall stamp set, add some simple texture and create something clean and simple to link up with us over at the Paper Players.

Happy Sunday!
This week at the Paper Players, Joanne has a Theme Challenge for us. “Beside the Seaside” is one of my favorite places to be. The salt air, sand, the sounds of the seagulls, and the tranquility of the ocean all come to mind when I think of the beach. My favorite time on the beach is during the months of September and October The ocean breezes are still warm and the beaches are much less crowded. It’s a peaceful place, indeed!

I went back into my stamp archives for the High Tide stamp set. It’s a favorite summer stamp set and I love the sentiments. I’m sending this to someone special who could use some congratulatory encouragement!

Along with all of the stamped images from the High Tide stamp set, I used lots of ink: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Soft Sky. Whew!! I added my stamped top layer to a Crumb Cake card base and decided to tuck a Real Red layer between the two. The Real Red layer gives the image layer some extra depth.

I went off the grid a bit today going back into my archives, but I enjoyed my visit beside the seaside! Thank you, Joanne!
So, think about being “beside the seaside” add lots of ink, a Real Red layer and link up with us over at the Paper Players. We love to see your cards.

Hello Friends and happy Sunday to you!
We have a brand new challenge over at the Paper Players! It’s Clean and Simple week and our fabulour host, LeAnne, has a fun Clean for us. Your project must be Clean and Simple and must have a “bee” on it! By “Clean and Simjple” we mean, your design must have minimal layers, little or no embellishments and lots of clean white space.

Along with a new challenge, I thought I would showcase a new stamp and die bundle. The Season’s Blessings Bundle is in the Annual Catalog. This is one of those Bundles that has so many possibilities. The images are seasonal or not, depending on how you want to use them. The Seasonal Basket Dies match the images in the stamp set, and also include two really fun basket dies.

About Today’s Card
My card is Clean and Simple. A Basic White layer on a Basic White card base. My color palette has deeper tones: Polished Pink blooms, Soft Succulent leaves and a bumblebee colored with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Blends. A Soft Suede sentiment holds its own next to Polished Pink and Soft Succulent.

That little swirling bee is stamped with an image from the Garden Wishes stamp set and die cut with the matching Dandy Wishes Dies. When I was thinking about which bee image to use, this one came to mind. I remembered he came with the swirly stamp. It’s always fun to mix in a random stamp.
So, find a “B” in your stamp archives, add a bloom or two, keep it clean and create something fun to link up with us over at the Paper Players.

Jul 14, 2021 | Blog Hops, Encouragemet, Gallery, Get Well, Sympathy |

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Wonderful Cards/Projects from the Garden” where our design team showcase projects from things found in a garden, such as flowers, vegetables, fruits, or even a garden scene. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. Once you finish here, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Today’s cards are Sneak Peeks of the Nature’s Harvest Bundle. Wow! That about sums it up. This Bundle caught my eye and was at the top of my list. The matching Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper is my color and design inspiration today. I couldn’t put these gorgeous dies away, so I made a second card.

Both card designs are identical except that I added much more ink to my first card. (Which is also below).

Here’s How I Did It!
Included in the Nature’s Harvest stamp set is a background stamp which I used to spread some Misty Moonlight ink behind the die cuts. With my Blender Brush, I created a Misty Moonlight “shadow” around the die cuts. I inked the edges of the DSP layer, the white flower spray and the sentiment tag using a sponge dauber. Adding in the Misty Moonlight ink really gives this design a good amount of depth. My cards are usually “cleaner”, but I really liked the contrast in the inked version.
Below is my original, clean version of the same design. The Misty Moonlight wheat and Soft Succulent branch are perfect behind the crisp, clean flowers picked right from the garden for the Pals.

The sentiment is a beautiful get well, encouragement or sympathy message. The font in the sentiment matches the penned font in the Designer Series Paper. This is a perfect pattern repeat.
Both cards are embellished with the upcoming Matte Decorative Dots. They’re in three sizes and so much fun to use.
So, find some inspirational Designer Series Paper, ink it up, attach a few amazing die cuts and create something thoughtful!
…the only limitation is your imagination!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team, because the Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on August 11th. Our theme will be “My Happiest Season” when our Design Team creates a project showcase inspired by their favorite season of the year. Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Happy Sunday! The Paper Players have another challenge for us this week. It’s a Theme Challenge hosted by our very talented Ann. She chose Signs of Summer.

There’s so much I think of when Summer is near. Ann’s challenge banner pretty much covers the fun and adventure Summer brings.
I don’t live far from our beautiful New Jersey beaches. At any given time from May through October, my beach chair is in my car. Mostly on a whim, I’ll get in the car, head to the beach, take a walk or sit for a while then head home. A walk near the salt water is refreshing to me.

Today’s card is an image of the sailboats I see and the sea gulls flying in the background. It’s a true sign Summer is with us.
I kept this card simple. The Sailing Home stamp set helped me create my sailing scene. I used a blender pen and ink to add color to the sailboat. The matching die from the Smooth Sailing Dies made it easy to cut the sailboat image and attach it with Dimensionals. I sponged a little So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo ink in the background to create a light horizon. The seagulls are stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.

The sentiment is perfect for graduates, especially during this time of year. The sailboat and sentiment are all about the adventure that awaits us all!
So, pull out your favorite summer themed image, add a beach chair, sailboat or popsicle and join us over at the Paper Players.
