This month, the theme is Focus on the Sentiment. Our Design Team is showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. I was completely inspired by our Blog Hop’s theme this month and had so many ideas for my project. The Leaves of Holly Bundle kept moving into first place. I had to showcase the beautiful die cut sentiment frame in the Holly Berry Dies. Aren’t these holly berries beautiful, also?
I kept my card simple by using a neutral, monochromatic Designer Series Paper pattern from the Boughs of Holly paper pack. Gray Granite is a perfect background for Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow and I wanted the sentiment to get the attention.
Today’s Card Pieces And Parts
- I cut a tent fold Gray Granite card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/4″.
- The Basic White layer is 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, and the patterned paper layer is 5 1/4″ x 4″.
- The sentiment frame is die cut using Basic White Thick cardstock. I prefer the thicker weight for die cuts like this. It really pops the detail.
- The Mossy Meadow background for the holly leaves is die cut from one of the Holly Berry Dies.
- The holly berries are stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and die cut with the coordinating die.
- This stamp set has a few “two-step stamping” stamps. The holly berries are one of them, but I chose to use only one stamp to create a better match to the holly leaves. Lots of white.
- I cut a strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and trimmed the corners to match the sentiment frame, then adhered it to the back of the frame. This helps the sentiment pop a little more and is in line with the framed holly leaves and berries.
- The stamped sentiments are Mossy Meadow and are in the Leaves of Holly stamp set.
- The “joy” sentiment is one of the laser cut sentiments in the Santa Express Memories & More card pack.
- I colored this sentiment with my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend.
- The embellishments are Basic Pearls that I colored with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Blend.
- A little Linen Thread createed the bow which I tucked under the sentiment using a glue dot.
- The sentiment focal point is attached with Dimensionals.
So, find a fabulous sentiment frame, add a mixed font sentiment, some colored pearls and Linen Thread and create something to spread peace and joy!

It’s been consistently hot and dry here in New Jersey, but I’m thinking “snow”.
Today, I’m showcasing the Snowman Magic Bundle. The Snowman Magic stamp set has lots of mini stamps that build a snowman in a snow scene. It’s great for the winter and holiday seasons. The Snowman Dies coordinate with the stamps and also feature a large frame die, bordered with snowflakes, that makes it easy to frame your snow scene. You can also use the large frame die alone to frame a sentiment or a pretty holiday image. Do you have a fun family photo you want to display or send to loved ones? Create a beautiful photo frame.
I kept this card “clean” with lots of white space and minimal elements. You can use this design to add ink to the edges of your snow drifts, or place a little sparkle in the Starry Sky.
Today’s Card Pieces And Parts
- My card base is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. scored at 4 1/4″.
- I cut two layers 4″ x 5 1/4″. One is Starry Sky and the other is Basic White.
- Using one of the larger dies from my Layering Circles Dies, I die cut a circle on the right side of the Basic White layer.
- I cut two smaller Basic White layers 2 1/2″ x 4″, and hand cut swirls into the top of these layers to create my snow drifts.
- On a smaller strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the snowman’s scarf and hat with Starry Sky ink.
- On another strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the three trees with Mossy Meadow ink.
- With one pass through my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine, I die cut the white tree, hat, scarf, snowman arms, and snowman.
- Turn the large Basic White, circle die cut layer so that the circle is on the left.
- Position the first snow drift layer on the back of the circle opening, checking to see if you like the way it appears on the front of the circle.
- Attach it from the back side with Dimensionals.
- Do the same with the second snow drift layer. Attach it from the back with Dimensionals.
- Stamp the face on the snowman with black ink.
- Arrach the hat, scarf and die cut arms to the snowman.
Add The Elements
- Attach the white die cut tree to the snowdrifts as shown.
- Attach the snowman as shown.
- Fussy cut the Mossy Meadow Trees and attach them to the snowdrift.
- Stamp your sentiment with Starry Sky ink and adhere it to the card front.
- Attach your snow scene to the Starry Sky layer, slightly offsetting the Starry Sky layer.
- Attach the snow scent to your card base.
So, cut your layers, offset them on the card front and create something to share winter gratitude.

Today, I’m using the new Deckled Rectangle Dies for the first time. I think they’ll be seeing lots of passes through my cutting machine. They’re perfect for a soft, clean, vintage design. These nested Dies give a wider layered edge that will frame your card designs quickly and perfectly!
I decided on the images from the Nature’s Prints Bundle because I think they work well in a layered cluster. I’ve always been a fan of Crumb Cake and Petal Pink together. Paired with Basic White, they create a soft color palette. The die cut images and colors combined to help me get the look I wanted. The Deckled Rectangle Dies gives this simple design visual interest.
Today’s Card Pieces And Parts
- The Crumb Cake card base is a standard A-2 cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.
- I used the three largest Deckled Rectangle Dies for the card layers.
- The top Petal Pink layer is a pattern from the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper. Love that paper pack! There are so many possibilities for using the featured designs.
- I cut the sentiment layer from the smallest Deckled Rectangle Die.
- I stamp the floral element cluster images with Petal Pink and Crumb Cake ink.
- The sentiment, stamped with Crumb Cake ink, is from the Nature’s Prints stamp set.
- Linen Thread and Pearl Basic Jewels embellish this design.
I die cut the largest Deckled Rectangle Die to add a quick and easy Basic White layer to the inside of this card.
So, die cut some Deckled layers, add a soft and pretty floral cluster, some Linen Thread and a few pearls and create something full of best wishes.
