Happy Tuesday! I have a short Stampin’ Story to share today.
Lacking inspiration, I looked through the Mini Catalog samples. I saw a card on the page featuring the Ringed With Nature Bundle. My intention was to very closely CASE that card. It’s done with Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow cardstock, and the sentiment is embossed in white. Then, I looked at the next page and saw a card that used the embossing folder from the Ringed With Nature Bundle. I combined both of those card samples, and came up with today’s design. All of the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs showcase amazing project inspiration.
Today’s Card Pieces And Parts
I cut a Poppy Parade card base 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.
The Shaded Spruce mat layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″, and the embossed layer is 3 3/4″ x 5″.
I used my Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut the Basic White top layer. It measures 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″.
The center tree ring is stamped off once with Soft Suede ink. I fussy cut it and attached it to the center of the white rectangle.
This made it easy to layer the fussy cut poinsettia and die cut leaf elements to the layer.
Fussy cutting the tree ring and flower was quick and easy.
So, take a look at some Catalog samples, combine two cards, and create something fun!

Today’s card is quick and easy to put together using the two Bundles from Stampin’ Up!’s Lights Aglow Product Suite.
It’s the black and gold pattern in the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper that inspired this design. The black and gold color combination for a holiday card is really pretty! I mixed in Very Vanilla cardstock and the Very Vanilla and gold pattern from the DSP.
Today’s Card Pieces and parts
The Distressed Gold Special Designer Series Paper (in the Annual Catalog), was my first choice for the background card layer. It’s beautiful and, unfortunately my photography doesn’t give it the kusos it deserves.
The cardbase is Very Vanilla, cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.
The Distressed Gold layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
I cut the Very Vanilla and gold patterned paper 3 3/4″ x 5″.
The Christmas tree gold glimmer stars are die cuts using the dies from the Christmas Lights Bundle.
I embossed the sentiment and die cut it using one of the Labels Aglow Dies.
I stamped the inside sentiment with Black Memento ink.
This is a good design for multiple cards. It really goes together quickly and looks beautiful.
So, grab your Lights Aglow Bundle, cut a few patterned paper layers, add a few glimmery stars and make some holiday cards!
Blushing Bride cardstock and coordinating Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper
In my last post, I promised a Video Tutorial for this Easel Fun Fold design. I had to resolve a few technical issues that created a delay in getting the video out to you. I completed at least three videos that wouldn’t upload to You Tube. The issues have been resolved and I’m back on track (hopefuly). You can view the video here or take a look in my Video Gallery.
Focus On The color
The Fitting Florets Product Suite is available to customers starting today. In my last post, I created two identidal holiday cards using the Suite. I used the Soft Succulent, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue color palette. Today, I’m showcasing Blushing Bride, Balmy Blue and Polished Pink – another pretty color palette.
With either of these color combinations, you can drop in some Crushed Curry or Evening Evergreen. In distinct Stampin’ Up! fashion, they all look beautiful together, in pairs or in a threesome! You can have fun mixing these colors in your Framed Florets projects.
